Bersatu today announced that its women's chief Rina Harun would contest the Sepang parliamentary seat at the Nov 19 polls.

The announcement was made by Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin at an event in Sepang tonight.

Rina is the incumbent for the Titiwangsa seat, which she won at the 2018 general election on a Pakatan Harapan ticket, defeating Barisan Nasional candidate Johari Abdul Ghani and PAS candidate Mohamad Nor Mohamad.

"With this, I announce Rina as PN's candidate in Sepang," Muhyiddin said.

"Confirmed. This is the president himself announcing it."

Rina will face Pakatan Harapan's Aiman Athirah and Che Asmah Ibrahim of Gerakan Tanah Air.

Barisan Nasional has yet to announce its candidate for the seat.
