Health ministry, EC still discussing SOPs for polls

The health ministry says it is still holding discussions with the Election Commission (EC) to finalise the SOPs for the 15th general election (GE15).

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said further developments regarding the SOPs would be announced soon.

"Still in discussion, the EC has requested feedback from the health ministry.

"There are some things that the EC can do, and some things they may find difficult to do. So the health ministry will provide feedback in a day or two," he told reporters in Petaling Jaya today.

The health ministry previously recommended to the EC several SOPs for GE15 to ensure a "Covid-19 safe election".
