Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) proposal for the use of a new logo and colour in the 15th general election (GE15) is to avoid confusion between the coalition and Barisan Nasional (BN), PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said yesterday.

He said the top PN leadership had discussed the adoption of a new logo after the Melaka and Johor state elections showed that some of its supporters were confused between the PN and BN colours.

"PN will look into the possibility of changing to a colour different from those of BN and the other parties in the next general election," he told reporters after an event in Kota Bharu.

Tuan Ibrahim, who is Kubang Kerian MP, said this when asked to comment on PN chairman Muhyiddin Yassin’s statement that PN was planning to introduce a new logo for GE15.
