New infections at 235 as death toll up by one

Another 235 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 5,044,439.

There were 216 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,998,219.

There are now 9,253 active cases, of which 8,916 or 96.4% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0%) are at quarantine centres while 330 (3.6%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of seven are in ICU with one in need of respiratory assistance. 

One more death was reported, taking total deaths to 36,967.
