New infections top 2,000 as another 5 deaths logged

There are now 25,769 active cases, of which 24,713 or 95.9% are undergoing home quarantine.

Another 2,007 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,840,879.

There were 1,407 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,778,736.

There are now 25,769 active cases, of which 24,713 or 95.9% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,014 (3.9%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 42 are in ICU with 19 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 60.9%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 11.4%.

Another five deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,374.
