Daily caseload dips below 1,600 as 3 more deaths logged

Another 1,572 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,817,251.

There were 2,695 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,754,911.

There are now 26,032 active cases, of which 24,797 or 95.3% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, four (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,171 (4.5%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 60 are in ICU with 37 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 61.2%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 16.3%.

Another three deaths were reported, including two who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,308.
