Daily caseload below 1,500 as 4 more deaths logged

Another 1,486 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,792,942.

There were 2,897 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,729,147.

There are now 27,546 active cases, of which 26,154 or 94.9% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 16 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,297 (4.7%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 79 are in ICU with 43 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 62.0%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 21.3%.

Another four deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,249.
