Daily caseload dips below 2,250 as 9 more deaths logged

There are now 30,197 active cases, of which 28,853 or 95.5% are undergoing home quarantine.

Another 2,244 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,789,552.

There were 3,202 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,723,112.

There are now 30,197 active cases, of which 28,853 or 95.5% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 18 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,251 (4.1%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 75 are in ICU with 40 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 60.2%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 20.1%.

Another nine deaths were reported, including two who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,243.
