Daily caseload at just over 4,000 as 7 more deaths reported

Another 4,071 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,749,000.

There were 3,289 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,670,400.

There are now 42,476 active cases, of which 40,826 or 96.1% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 27 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,542 (3.6%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 81 are in ICU with 45 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 62.5%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 21.7%.

Another seven deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,124.
