Puncak Borneo MP Willie Mongin, who said earlier this year that he had been “technically parked” under Bersatu, has been accepted as a member of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB).

PBB president Abang Johari Openg said Willie’s application had been accepted without any conditions attached.

“There are no conditions,” he told reporters at a press conference in Kuching today.

“He becomes a member because he supports PBB — it is good.”

In June, Willie said he had submitted his application to join PBB.

He joined Bersatu in 2020, in the wake of the Sheraton Move.

He contested his Puncak Borneo seat on a PKR ticket in the 2018 general election.
