New infections just over 3,000 as death toll up by 7

A total of 57 are in ICU with 37 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 3,080 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,626,061.

There were 3,399 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,548,014.

There are now 42,185 active cases, of which 40,622 or 96.3% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 34 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,472 (3.5%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 57 are in ICU with 37 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 61.7%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 13.8%.

Another seven deaths were reported, including three who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,862.
