New infections top 2,800 as deaths go up by 2

A total of 43 are in ICU with 25 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 2,867 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,566,055.

There were 2,145 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,500,856.

There are now 29,434 active cases, of which 28,116 or 95.5% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 26 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,249 (4.2%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 43 are in ICU with 25 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 61.5%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 9.6%.

Two more deaths were reported, taking total deaths to 35,765.
