Daily caseload tops 2,000 as 3 more deaths logged

Another 2,093 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,542,705.

There were 2,082 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,481,018.

There are now 25,952 active cases, of which 24,929 or 96.1% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 15 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 985 (3.8%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 23 are in ICU with 18 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 61.1%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 5.3%.

Three more deaths were reported, taking total deaths to 35,735.
