Daily caseload continues to hover at 2,100 as another death reported

Another 2,127 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,538,922.

There were 1,390 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,476,828.

There are now 26,362 active cases, of which 25,350 or 96.2% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, eight (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 981 (3.7%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 23 are in ICU with 16 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 60.1%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 5.2%.

One more death was reported, taking total deaths to 35,732.
