Daily caseload tops 1,500 as another 6 deaths reported

Another 1,518 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,518,965.

There were 1,125 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,461,671.

There are now 21,589 active cases, of which 20,599 or 95.4% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 23 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 941 (4.4%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 26 are in ICU with 14 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 59.0%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 5.8%.

Another six deaths were reported, including three who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,705.
