Daily caseload drops to 1,100 as 5 more deaths reported

Another 1,155 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,503,734.

There were 1,975 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,443,676.

There are now 24,393 active cases, of which 23,403 or 95.9% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 17 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 939 (3.8%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 34 are in ICU with 18 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 58.9%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 7.1%.

Another five deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,665.
