New infections rise to 3,400 as another 4 deaths logged

Another 3,410 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,470,471.

There were 1,430 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,408,043.

There are now 26,826 active cases, of which 25,414 or 94.7% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 33 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,328 (5.0%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 51 are in ICU with 34 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 55.5%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 7.2%.

Another four deaths were reported. Total deaths now stand at 35,602.
