New infections hover at 1,000 as another 3 deaths reported

Another 1,054 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,452,835.

There were 4,107 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,388,491.

There are now 28,777 active cases, of which 27,361 or 95.1% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 14 (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,328 (4.6%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 74 are in ICU with 41 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 55.9%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 10.0%.

Another three deaths were reported. Total deaths now stand at 35,567.
