New cases below 3,000 as 10 more deaths reported

Another 2,935 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,443,318.

There were 7,585 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,354,006.

There are now 53,776 active cases, of which 52,261 or 97.2% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 46 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,385 (2.6%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 84 are in ICU with 56 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 52.3%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 11.2%.

Another 10 deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,536.
