New cases top 3,300 as another 13 deaths reported

A total of 9,484 recoveries brought the number of active cases down to 61,871.

Another 3,361 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,436,912.

There were 9,484 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,339,521.

There are now 61,871 active cases, of which 60,162 or 97.2% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 77 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,531 (2.5%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 101 are in ICU with 63 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 55.0%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 13.4%.

Another 13 deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,520.
