36% of children given first jab, 66.1% of adults boosted

97.5% of adults and 91.5% of teenagers have been fully vaccinated.

A total of 1,277,247 children or 36% of those aged five to 11 had received a first dose of Covid-19 vaccine under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids) as of yesterday.

According to the CovidNow website, 2,846,114 teenagers or 91.5% of those aged 12 to 17 have completed their vaccination.

Meanwhile, 2,943,587 or 94.6% have received at least one dose of vaccine.

In terms of adults, 15,553,138 individuals or 66.1% have received a Covid-19 booster shot while 22,946,072 or 97.5% have been fully vaccinated.

A total of 23,222,133 individuals or 98.7% have received at least one dose of vaccine.

Yesterday, a total of 27,592 vaccine doses were administered, with 5,911 as first doses, 1,373 as second shots and 20,308 as booster jabs.

This brings the cumulative number of vaccine doses dispensed under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 68,577,331.
