45.7% of adults given booster jab

A total of 10,701,460 individuals or 45.7% of adults in the country had received a Covid-19 vaccine booster dose as of yesterday.
According to the CovidNow portal, 129,378 booster doses were administered yesterday.
Meanwhile, a total of 22,915,836 individuals or 97.9% of adults have completed their vaccination while 23,193,511 or 99.1% have received at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
In terms of adolescents, a total of 2,780,413 or 88.3% have completed their vaccination while 2,864,161 or 91% have received at least one dose of vaccine.
A total of 131,168 vaccine doses were administered yesterday including 817 first shots and 973 second jabs.
This brings the cumulative number of vaccine shots administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to 62,251,745.
According to the health ministry’s Github portal, nine deaths were recorded yesterday with Johor and Terengganu recording three cases each and one case each reported in Perak, Sabah and Selangor.
