33 reported deaths take Covid toll to 30,989

Terengganu reported the most deaths followed by Selangor and Kelantan.

Another 33 Covid-related deaths were reported on Dec 15, taking the cumulative death toll in the country to 30,989.

According to the health ministry’s Github data repository, four or 12.1% of these were brought-in-dead (BID) cases.

Terengganu had the highest number of reported deaths at seven or 21.2% followed by Kelantan and Selangor at five or 15.2% each.

Perak and Kuala Lumpur reported four deaths each, Johor and Kedah reported three deaths each while Pahang reported two deaths.

No deaths were reported in eight states: Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Perlis, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Labuan and Putrajaya.

A total of 3,900 new cases were reported yesterday, taking the overall total to 2,703,140.
