66 reported Covid deaths take toll to 30,718

Terengganu had the most deaths at 12, followed by Selangor with 11.

Another 66 Covid-related deaths were reported on Dec 7, taking the cumulative death toll in the country to 30,718.

According to the health ministry’s Github data repository, nine or 13.6% of these were brought-in-dead (BID) cases.

Terengganu had the highest number of reported deaths at 12 or 18.2% followed by Selangor at 11 or 16.7%.

Kedah reported eight deaths, Perak reported seven deaths, Penang reported six deaths, Sabah reported five deaths while Negeri Sembilan reported four deaths.

Johor and Kuala Lumpur reported three deaths each; Kelantan, Pahang and Sarawak reported two deaths each; while Melaka reported one death.

No deaths were reported in Perlis, Labuan and Putrajaya.

A total of 4,965 new cases were reported yesterday, taking the overall total to 2,667,999.

As of yesterday, there were 60,411 active Covid-19 cases reported and 4,817 recoveries.
