47 reported Covid deaths take toll to 30,110

Of these, 10 were brought-in-dead cases.

Another 47 Covid-related deaths were reported on Nov 23, taking the cumulative death toll in the country to 30,110.

According to the health ministry’s Github data repository, 10 of these were brought-in-dead (BID) cases.

Kelantan had the highest number of reported deaths at eight or 17%, followed by Sabah with seven.

Melaka and Selangor reported five deaths each; Johor, Penang and Sarawak reported four deaths each; and Kedah and Pahang reported three deaths each.

Terengganu, which had the highest number of reported deaths on Nov 22, reported two deaths yesterday.

Perak and Kuala Lumpur reported one death each while no deaths were reported in Negeri Sembilan, Perlis, Labuan and Putrajaya.

A total of 5,594 new cases were reported yesterday, taking the overall total to 2,597,080. Only 85 or 1.5% of the new Covid-19 cases were Category Three, Four and Five infections.

As of yesterday, there were 68,625 active Covid-19 cases reported and 4,908 recoveries.

From the health ministry’s early morning update, 10 new clusters were reported, taking total active clusters to be 231.
