Malaysia hits 95% full adult vaccination

Meanwhile 76.7% of teenagers are fully jabbed.

Over 22.2 million people or 95% of the adult population had been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as of yesterday.

Based on health ministry data on the CovidNow portal, 97.5% of adults or 22.8 million individuals have received at least one dose of vaccine.

A total of 116,642 doses were administered yesterday, with 30,700 as second doses, 7,877 to first-dose recipients and 78,065 as booster shots, bringing the total number of vaccine jabs administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to 50,656,181.

As for teenagers aged 12 to 17, a total of 2,413,991 individuals or 76.7% are fully vaccinated while 86.5% or 2,722,418 individuals have received at least one dose of vaccine.

On the administration of booster shots, a total of 644,664 doses had been given as of yesterday.
