Sarawak has removed the quarantine requirement for fully vaccinated individuals entering the state, effective Sept 16.

Those who have completed their vaccination will no longer be required to quarantine upon arrival in Sarawak, the state disaster management committee announced today.

In a statement, it said beginning Sept 16, fully vaccinated individuals only need to apply through EnterSarawak and provide the necessary details including proof of complete vaccination and a negative RT-PCR test, the results of which are considered valid for three days.

Children and teenagers below 18 who enter the state with fully vaccinated parents or guardians will also be exempted from quarantine but should be monitored for symptoms for 10 days.

The committee said the decision was made in light of Sarawak’s high vaccination rate.

The 10-day quarantine period will remain in force for those who are partially vaccinated or have yet to receive a jab.
