Daily cases still under 20,000 as Sarawak surges past 5,000

Another 19,198 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 1,979,698.

Sarawak recorded 5,291 cases, Selangor 2,347, Johor 2,110, Sabah 1,717, Kelantan 1,435, Penang 1,309, Kedah 1,256 and Perak 1,118.

Terengganu recorded 930 cases, Pahang 584, Kuala Lumpur 376, Melaka 340, Negeri Sembilan 283.

Perlis recorded 67 cases, Putrajaya 32 and Labuan three.
