362 deaths as new cases below 20,000 for second day

Another 19,057 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 1,824,439.

Selangor recorded 3,775 cases, Sarawak 2,723, Sabah 2,279, Johor 2,077, Penang 1,558, Perak 1,450, Kelantan 1,434 and Kedah 1,329.

Kuala Lumpur recorded 711 cases, Terengganu 605, Pahang 410, Melaka 338 and Negeri Sembilan 242.

Perlis recorded 99 cases, Putrajaya 18 and Labuan nine.

Active cases stand at 256,302 with 978 in the ICU and 460 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 21,582 patients recovered, bringing total recoveries to 1,550,254.

However, 362 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 17,883.
