Nearly 62% of adults, 45% of population fully vaccinated

33,724,744 doses of vaccine have been administered so far.

A total of 14,487,972 individuals or 61.9% of the adult population in Malaysia had been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as of Aug 28, according to the Special Committee on Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply.

A total of 19,241,946 individuals or 82.2% had received their first dose, bringing the cumulative figure for vaccine doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to 33,724,744 as of yesterday.

Meanwhile 58.9% of the country’s overall population have received a first jab while 44.4% have completed both doses.

In terms of daily vaccination rate, 336,642 doses were administered yesterday, 190,010 to second-dose recipients and 146,632 as first-dose jabs.
