Nearly 29 million vaccine doses given, almost 35% of population double-jabbed

More than 53% of the population have received a first dose.

A total of 28,837,742 doses of Covid-19 vaccine had been administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme as of yesterday.

The Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee said 17,437,286 individuals had received a first dose while 11,400,456 individuals had been given a second.

In terms of percentage, 53.4% of the country’s population have received a first dose while 34.9% have completed both doses.

On the daily vaccination rate, a total of 525,111 doses were administered yesterday compared to 501,776 doses on Monday, with 184,972 as first doses and 340,139 as second doses.
