A quarter of the population fully vaccinated

More than 23 million doses of vaccine have been administered so far.

A total of 23,608,290 doses of Covid-19 vaccine had been administered through the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) as of yesterday.

Health Minister Dr Adham Baba said of the total, 15,350,180 doses were administered to first-dose recipients and 8,258,110 as second doses.

“According to percentage, 47% of the country’s population have received a first dose of vaccine while 25.3% have completed both doses,” he said.

In terms of daily vaccination rate, a total of 447,035 doses were administered yesterday, 187,756 as first doses and 259,279 to second-dose recipients.

PICK was launched on Feb 24.
