Daily cases barrel past 11,000 to new high as 125 more deaths reported

Another 11,079 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 855,949.

Selangor recorded 5,263 cases, Kuala Lumpur 1,521, Negeri Sembilan 1,033, Kedah 497, Sarawak 472, Johor 406, Perak 329, Melaka 323, Pahang 321, Sabah 239, Penang 234 and Kelantan 211.

Terengganu recorded 93 cases, Putrajaya 77 and Labuan 60.

Active cases stand at 96,236 with 972 in the ICU and 456 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 5,990 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 753,328.

However, 125 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 6,385.
