Another 63 deaths as new cases dip to 6,045

Another 6,045 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 778,652.

Selangor recorded 2,262 cases, Kuala Lumpur 616, Negeri Sembilan 531, Johor 500, Perak 384, Sarawak 365, Kedah 332, Melaka 290, Sabah 228, Penang 173 and Kelantan 124.

Pahang recorded 95 cases, Labuan 75, Terengganu 54 and Putrajaya 16.

Active cases stand at 67,669 with 917 in the ICU and 443 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 5,271 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 705,486.

However, 63 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 5,497.
