60 more deaths as daily cases rise to 5,738

Another 5,738 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 678,764.

Selangor recorded 1,858 cases, Negeri Sembilan 1,086, Kuala Lumpur 641, Sarawak 559, Johor 449, Sabah 248, Kedah 197, Melaka 184 and Kelantan 154.

Penang and Labuan recorded 97 cases each, Terengganu 77, Pahang 54, Perak 30 and Putrajaya seven.

Active cases stand at 66,097 with 909 in the ICU and 441 in need of respiratory assistance

Another 7,530 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 608,465.

However, 60 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 4,202.
