New cases still hover over 5,000 as another 73 deaths reported

924 in the ICU and 453 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 5,150 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 673,026.

Selangor recorded 1,914 cases, Negeri Sembilan 607, Sarawak 570, Kuala Lumpur 480, Johor 392, Kelantan 230, Kedah 228, Sabah 184, Melaka 152 and Labuan 101.

Penang recorded 99 cases, Perak 66, Pahang 57, Terengganu 56, Perlis eight and Putrajaya six.

Active cases stand at 67,949 with 924 in the ICU and 453 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 7,240 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 600,935.

However, 73 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 4,142.
