101 deaths push virus toll past 4,000 as over 5,000 new cases logged

Another 5,419 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 667,876.

Selangor recorded 1,996 cases, Sarawak 718, Kuala Lumpur 650, Negeri Sembilan 396, Johor 366, Kedah 252, Kelantan 245, Sabah 230, Melaka 155, Labuan 138 and Penang 124.

Perak recorded 68 cases, Terengganu 43, Pahang 32, Putrajaya five and Perlis one.

Active cases stand at 70,112 with 922 in the ICU and 450 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 6,831 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 593,695.

However, 101 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 4,069.
