Daily cases below 7,000 for second day

Another 6,824 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 572,357.

Selangor recorded 2,111 cases, Kelantan 695, Sarawak 654, Johor 489, Kedah 464, Kuala Lumpur 387, Melaka 352, Penang 328, Perak 255, Negeri Sembilan 253, Pahang 219, Sabah 207, Terengganu 204 and Labuan 166.

Putrajaya recorded 28 cases and Perlis 12.

Active cases stand at 79,523 with 851 in the ICU and 422 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 5,251 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 490,038.

However, 67 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 2,796.
