Selangor still over 700 as 2,717 more cases reported

Kelantan and Sarawak follow with over 500 new cases.

Another 2,717 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 390,252.

Selangor recorded 768 cases followed by Sarawak (570), Kelantan (518), Kuala Lumpur (240), Penang (134), Sabah (132) and Johor (126).

Perak recorded 54 cases, Terengganu 50, Kedah 34, Melaka 30, Negeri Sembilan 27, Pahang 22, Putrajaya 11 and Perlis one.

Active cases stand at 22,926 with 272 in the ICU and 124 in need of respiratory assistance.

Ten more clusters were detected:

1. Jalan Abdul Karim (Klang in Selangor; 27 screened, 11 positive)
2. Jalan Melor (Hulu Selangor in Selangor; 20 screened, seven positive)
3. Lebuh Ipoh-Lumut (Kinta and Perak Tengah in Perak; 37 screened, 17 positive)
4. Jalan Datoh (Kinta in Perak; 30 screened, 12 positive)
5. Tingkat Mak Mandin (Seberang Perai Utara in Penang; 54 screened, 13 positive)
6. D’Lahar (Besut in Terengganu; 201 screened, 40 positive)
7. Desa Mawar (Rompin in Pahang; 166 screened, nine positive)
8. Jalan Kolam Dua (Larut, Matang and Selama in Perak; 31 screened, eight positive)
9. Dambai Inanam (Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Penyu and Putatan in Sabah; 377 screened, 19 positive)
10. Jalan St Thomas (Kepong, Cheras and Titiwangsa in Kuala Lumpur; Gombak, Hulu Langat and Petaling in Selangor; Raub in Pahang; 96 screened, 11 positive)

Twelve others ended, leaving 352 active clusters across the country.

Another 2,292 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 365,900.

However, 11 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,426.
