Kelantan, Selangor spike as new cases rise to 2,875

662 cases in Kelantan, 633 in Selangor.

Another 2,875 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 384,688.

Kelantan recorded 662 cases followed by Selangor (633), Sarawak (474), Kuala Lumpur (332), Johor (169), Sabah (160) and Penang (144).

Kedah recorded 91 cases, Negeri Sembilan 55, Perak 49, Melaka 42, Pahang 29, Terengganu 22, Putrajaya 10 and Labuan three.

Active cases stand at 22,014 with 248 in the ICU and 115 in need of respiratory assistance.

Thirteen more clusters were detected:

1. Jalan Semtec (Hulu Langat in Selangor; 48 screened, 12 positive)
2. Jalan Industri Mekanikal (Pontian in Johor; 119 screened, seven positive)
3. Jalan Skin (Kota Tinggi and Kulai in Johor; 105 screened, 10 positive)
4. Kota Sawit (Kinabatangan in Sabah; 194 screened, 14 positive)
5. Jalan Salahuddin (Kepong and Lembah Pantai in Kuala Lumpur; Petaling, Hulu Langat and Gombak in Selangor; and Putrajaya; 59 screened, 10 positive)
6. Jalan Raji (Petaling, Sabak Bernam and Klang in Selangor; 110 screened, 42 positive)
7. Sungai Banus (Selangau in Sarawak; 51 screened, 41 positive)
8. Jalan Pokok Mangga (Melaka Tengah in Melaka; 43 screened, 19 positive)
9. Taman Changkat (Hilir Perak in Perak; 41 screened, 10 positive)
10. Jalan Shah Banting (Kuala Langat in Selangor; 913 screened, 58 positive)
11. Mengkebang (Kuala Krai in Kelantan; 178 screened, 21 positive)
12. Dinamik (Kota Setar in Kedah; 32 screened, 15 positive)
13. Kampung Bangkahulu (Tampin and Seremban in Negeri Sembilan; 29 screened, 11 positive)

Four others ended, leaving 352 active clusters across the country.

Another 2,541 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 361,267.

However, seven more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,407.
