1,349 new cases as total infections top 350,000

1,270 recoveries, two more deaths.

Another 1,349 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 350,959.

Sarawak recorded 419 cases followed by Selangor (343) and Penang (185).

Johor recorded 95 cases, Kuala Lumpur 73, Sabah 68, Kedah 32, Perak 24, Labuan 22, Negeri Sembilan 20, Kelantan 18, Putrajaya 17, Melaka 15, Pahang 11, Terengganu six and Perlis one.

Active cases stand at 14,509 with 186 in the ICU and 94 in need of respiratory assistance.

Ten new clusters were detected:

1. Jalan Maju Cemerlang (Johor Bahru in Johor; 134 screened, 11 positive)
2. Jalan Murni Satu (Batu Pahat, Kluang and Mersing in Johor; 94 screened, 15 positive)
3. Jalan Suasana (Hulu Langat in Selangor; 187 screened, 19 positive)
4. Danan (Pasir Puteh in Kelantan; 236 screened, 17 positive)
5. Jalan Alamanda (Putrajaya and Sepang in Selangor; 45 screened, 12 positive)
6. Sungai Mupong (Sibu and Meradong in Sarawak; 30 screened, 17 positive)
7. Sungai Rassau (Matu and Sibu in Sarawak; 338 screened, 11 positive)
8. Rich Park (Tawau and Kota Kinabalu in Sabah; 55 screened, 17 positive)
9. Kampung Batu Lapan Lekir (Manjung in Perak; 60 screened, 14 positive)
10. Tembok Sri Aman (Sri Aman in Sarawak; 467 screened, 160 positive)

Eight others ended, leaving 359 active clusters across the country.

Another 1,270 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 335,162.

However, two more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,288.
