Selangor, Sarawak lead as 1,178 new cases reported

237 cases in Selangor, 238 in Sarawak.

Another 1,178 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 346,678.

Sarawak recorded 238 cases, Selangor 237, Penang 190, Johor 165 and Kuala Lumpur 101.

Sabah recorded 86 cases, Negeri Sembilan 34, Kedah 32, Perak 31, Kelantan 27, Pahang 14, Melaka nine, Labuan seven, Terengganu six and Putrajaya one.

Active cases stand at 14,399 with 163 in the ICU and 81 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 1,178 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 331,001.

However, six more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,278.
