Dip in new cases to 1,116

Another 1,116 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 334,156.

Selangor recorded 403 cases followed by Kuala Lumpur (158) and Sarawak (124).

Penang recorded 88 cases, Johor 86, Kelantan 44, Pahang 42, Negeri Sembilan 41, Perak 39, Sabah 36, Kedah 27, Melaka 12, Labuan eight, Putrajaya five and Terengganu three.

Ten new clusters were detected:

1. Jalan Helang (Kuala Langat in Selangor; 109 screened, 13 positive)
2. Tapak Bina Jalan Usahawan (Titiwangsa in Kuala Lumpur; 278 screened, 73 positive)
3. Taman Tunku (Kepong and Titiwangsa in Kuala Lumpur; 64 screened, seven positive)
4. Jalan Tenteram (Johor Bahru in Johor; 38 screened, 10 positive)
5. Batu 22 (Kulai in Johor; 123 screened, 13 positive)
6. Jalan Gambang (Kuantan in Pahang; 111 screened, 24 positive)
7. Industri Permata (Seremban in Negeri Sembilan; 73 screened, 28 positive)
8. Jalan Kemajuan (Labuan; 31 screened, nine positive)
9. Rajang (Sarikei, Tanjung Manis and Kuching in Sarawak; 271 screened, 29 positive)
10. Jalan Belimbing (Kulai in Johor; 20 screened, 10 positive)

Fifteen others ended, leaving 411 active clusters across the country.

Another 1,495 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 318,784.

However, five more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,238.
