Three Chinese workers were killed when a crane at the construction site of the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE) collapsed, the second fatal incident at the highway project this month.

The workers fell some 120 feet when the launcher crane gave way. Rescue teams are still working to recover the body of the third worker.

Authorities said the crane landed on a passing Perodua Bezza car, whose driver was seriously injured.

Earlier this month, two people were killed when the van in which they were travelling on the MRR2 Highway near Bandar Tasik Selatan was struck by a bridge which collapsed after being hit by a trailer.
