1,576 new cases as recoveries stay ahead

Active cases at 14,360 with 151 in the ICU.

Another 1,576 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 330,042.

Sarawak recorded 407 cases, followed by Selangor (348), Penang (182), Kuala Lumpur (175), Johor (137) and Perak (100).

Melaka recorded 54 cases, Kelantan 52, Negeri Sembilan 41, Sabah 33, Kedah 25, Pahang 13, Terengganu six, Labuan two and Putrajaya one.

Active cases stand at 14,360 with 151 in the ICU and 57 in need of respiratory assistance.

Twelve more clusters were detected:

1. Sungai Berumbung (Kluang in Johor; 27 screened, 13 positive)
2. Lorong Usaha Utama (Kulai and Johor Bahru in Johor; 36 screened, seven positive)
3. Jalan Dahlia 22 (Johor Bahru in Johor; 421 screened, 13 positive)
4. Jalan Industri Sofa (Tangkak in Johor; 209 screened, 55 positive)
5. Jalan Besar Kepong (Kepong in Kuala Lumpur; 38 screened, 17 positive)
6. Jalan Daun (Kepong in Kuala Lumpur; 61 screened, eight positive)
7. Lorong Nibong (Titiwangsa and Cheras in Kuala Lumpur; 43 screened, 21 positive)
8. Persiaran Hemisfera (Petaling and Klang in Selangor; 119 screened, 13 positive)
9. Tapak Bina Persiaran Cybersouth (Sepang in Selangor; 17 screened, 10 positive)
10. Bandar Baru (Petaling and Hulu Selangor in Selangor; 686 screened, 50 positive)
11. DTI Juru (Seberang Perai Tengah in Penang; 393 screened, 167 positive)
12. DTI Jalan Duta (Kepong in Kuala Lumpur; 68 screened, 18 positive)

Thirteen others ended, leaving 427 active clusters across the country.

Another 1,996 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 314,457.

However, two more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,225.
