Daily cases drop to 1,208

Selangor drops to 379 cases followed by Sarawak and Penang.

Another 1,208 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 324,971.

Selangor recorded 379 cases followed by Sarawak (251), Penang (142) and Johor (118).

Negeri Sembilan recorded 80 cases, Kuala Lumpur 61, Terengganu 39, Perak 37, Sabah 29, Kedah 27, Kelantan 25, Pahang 17, Melaka two and Putrajaya one.

Active cases stand at 15,511 with 155 in the ICU and 70 in need of respiratory assistance.

Thirteen new clusters were detected:

1. Perusahaan Amari (Gombak in Selangor; 24 screened, eight positive)
2. Sungai Puloh (Klang in Selangor; 103 screened, 18 positive)
3. Jalan Mega Lima (Johor Bahru in Johor; 89 screened, 22 positive)
4. Batu Tiga Lama (Petaling and Kuala Selangor in Selangor; 221 screened, 20 positive)
5. Jalan Delima (Johor Bahru in Johor; 80 screened, 21 positive)
6. Batu 19 (Kulai and Johor Bahru in Johor; 57 screened, nine positive)
7. Jalan Tanjung (Bintulu in Sarawak; 127 screened, 19 positive)
8. Industri Gunung Mas (Tampin and Kuala Pilah in Negeri Sembilan; 188 screened, 32 positive)
9. Jalan Lapan Belas (Cheras in Kuala Lumpur; 15 screened, seven positive)
10. Chendering Height (Marang and Kuala Nerus in Terengganu; 132 screened, 10 positive)
11. Jalan Sekerat (Kuala Muda and Kulim in Kedah; 52 screened, 17 positive)
12. Tapak Bina Meha (Kulim in Kedah; 78 screened, 10 positive)
13. Kampung Air Batang (Rompin in Pahang; 27 screened, 15 positive)

Six others ended, leaving 431 active clusters across the country.

Another 1,973 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 308,247.

However, three more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,213.
