New cases stick below 2,000 mark as 7 more deaths reported

Death toll rises to 1,148.

Another 1,745 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 305,880.

Selangor recorded 640 cases, Johor 376, Sarawak 139 and Perak 136.

Sabah recorded 95 cases, Kuala Lumpur 92, Penang 90, Kedah 40, Pahang and Melaka 36 each, Kelantan 33, Negeri Sembilan 24, Terengganu five and Putrajaya three.

Active cases stand at 24,025 with 195 in the ICU and 95 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 2,276 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 280,707.

However, seven more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,148.
