2,437 cases take total confirmed infections past 300,000

202 in the ICU, 93 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 2,437 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 300,752.

Selangor recorded 914 cases, followed by Johor (340), Kuala Lumpur (337), Perak (287), Sarawak (171), Sabah (134) and Penang (105).

Negeri Sembilan recorded 65 cases, Kelantan 33, Kedah 13, Terengganu 12, Pahang 11, Melaka 10, Putrajaya three and Labuan two.

Active cases stand at 26,205 with 202 in the ICU and 93 in need of respiratory assistance.

Nine new clusters were detected:

1. Jalan Timah Tiga (Johor Bahru in Johor; 255 screened, 31 positive)
2. Jalan Tanjung Empat (Johor Bahru in Johor; 66 screened, 28 positive)
3. Jalan Desa Tropika (Johor Bahru in Johor; 21 screened, 10 positive)
4. Batu Empat (Batu Pahat in Johor; 55 screened, eight positive)
5. Perusahaan Jalan Bukit (Hulu Langat in Selangor; 699 screened, 262 positive)
6. Industri Waja (Kuala Langat in Selangor; 248 screened, 45 positive)
7. Jalan Selisik (Petaling and Kuala Selangor in Selangor; 32 screened, 17 positive)
8. Tapak Bina Bukit Kiara (Kepong in Kuala Lumpur; 250 screened, 181 positive)
9. Jalan Sungai Baong (Seberang Perai Selatan in Penang; 93 screened, 40 positive)

Three others ended, leaving 491 active clusters across the country.

Another 3,251 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 273,417.

However, nine more deaths were reported including a foreign woman aged 102, pushing the virus toll to 1,130.
