3,391 new cases as 19 more deaths take toll to 845

310 in ICU with 134 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 3,391 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 234,874.

Selangor recorded 1,228 cases followed by Johor (598), Kuala Lumpur (395), Sabah (196), Sarawak (178), Penang (149), Melaka (141) and Negeri Sembilan (116).

Perak recorded 92 cases, Kedah 91, Terengganu 84, Kelantan 58, Pahang 51, Labuan seven, Putrajaya six and Perlis one.

Active cases stand at 48,751 with 310 in the ICU and 134 in need of respiratory assistance.

Fifteen new clusters were detected:

1. Jalan Mokhtar (Klang in Selangor; 46 screened, 26 positive)
2. Jalan Enam Belas (Petaling in Selangor; 98 screened, 41 positive)
3. Bandar Teknologi (Hulu Langat in Selangor; 61 screened, 30 positive)
4. Persiaran Jaya (Hulu Langat in Selangor; 57 screened, 17 positive)
5. Jalan Lima (Sepang and Hulu Langat in Selangor; 434 screened, 24 positive)
6. Jalan Rumbia Dua (Johor Bahru in Johor; 183 screened, 133 positive)
7. Sri Sengkang (Kulai in Johor; 694 screened, 126 positive)
8. Jalan Jubilee (Cheras in Kuala Lumpur; 39 screened, 25 positive)
9. Jalan Jun Heng (Bintulu in Sarawak; 102 screened, 19 positive)
10. Tapak Bina Jalan Valdor (Seberang Perai Selatan in Penang; 806 screened, 53 positive)
11. Industri TTJ (Seremban, Tampin, Port Dickson and Rembau in Negeri Sembilan; 416 screened, 61 positive)
12. Santong Paka (Dungun and Kemaman in Terengganu; 127 screened, 26 positive)
13. Taman Murni (Kuantan in Pahang; 44 screened, 13 positive)
14. Hikmah Muadzam (Rompin in Pahang; 30 screened, seven positive)
15. Industri Bentong Sebelas (Bentong in Pahang; 43 screened, seven positive)

Another two ended, leaving 434 active clusters across the country.

Another 3,392 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 185,278.

However, 19 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 845.
