Another 1,220 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 89,133.

Selangor recorded 368 cases, of which 247 or 67.1% were from clusters and close contact screening.

This was followed by Kuala Lumpur (297), Sabah (184), Melaka (98) and Penang (80).

Johor recorded 67 cases, Perak 41, Negeri Sembilan 33, Labuan 16, Kelantan 10, Sarawak and Kedah nine each, Pahang four, and Terengganu and Putrajaya two each.

Active cases stand at 14,671 with 106 in the ICU and 53 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 1,297 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 74,030.

However, three more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 432.
